Work in Progress

So we have a website draft! While being very exciting, it is indeed very much a draft. Visually I like the simplicity of the site layout, and think it will help our images and text to stand out. Of course, now we need to add all our images and text. This is the bulk of the project that remains. But spring break is upon us so hopefully we should have more time to add photos and text.

I still need to create some more sub-pages for organization. I like having the sub-pages for organization and it helps keep the header/front page of the website simple. My goal is for the reader organically explore the website, rather than being overwhelmed with tabs.

So my goal for spring break is to caption the pictures we have now and write about how the connect to our larger research. By the end of the week I a least want to have our plaid page finished because that will be beautiful, in a 1980’s kind of way.

  1. It’s definitely getting there, Katherine! One suggestion I have is to redirect the landing page a bit to emphasize the theme/thesis of your site. If I initially came upon this initial page, I might think the emphasis is the university itself since it is highlighted so heavily. Could some of this detail be moved to a secondary page that explains the institution in this kind of detail? Also, don’t forget not to use an apostrophe for the 1980s. Did you have any questions about my last suggestions? Dr. Brown
